5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent jacket.Reviewed by 40yo Board Rider from Colorado on Friday, November 29, 2024This is an outstanding jacket. It's a lower end "shell" model by the 686 brand, which I like because it's not thick. I like to layer when I'm out snowboarding because the temps change with the weather/conditions. This jacket kept me warm and dry while snowboarding in roughly 5-30 degree temps alternating with either just a base layer or a base plus a wool sweater. It has pit-zips to ventilate if you overheat. The 10k InfiDry may not keep you dry in off-slope ultra deep powder, but it did just fine with regular riding on normal slopes (fresh snowfall) with a couple spills and in pretty heavy snowing conditions. I ordered a large, which is my usual size. It runs a little more "fitted" than I expected (maybe because it's considered a ski jacket?), but ultimately not bad and lots of freedom of movement for the technical areas I was riding through. The hood fits over a helmet, but not great, and really only ok when stationary to keep snow off.
