5.0 out of 5 stars. No longer sound like my breakfast cereal!Reviewed by Sage Rider from New Mexico on Tuesday, June 20, 2023I wore out my first pair of Altra Lone Peak Hikers months ago. They were comfortable, but made an annoying crackling sound with each step (not helpful when birdwatching and trying to listen to bird song). They were difficult to get my foot into and out of unfortunately. I was glad to "hear" that Altra remedied the crackle. They also redesigned the tops to make them easier to put on and remove. As soon as these were available from Sierra, I bought a pair. They are just as comfortable as my old ones, plus easier to put on and quiet when walking. No more crackling! They have adequate volume to accommodate custom orthotics, high arches, and do not rub my hammer toes. These will be perfect for light to moderate hiking, yardwork, travel, and safari use.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not supportive. Light, not in a good wayReviewed by Bonnie from New Hampshire on Wednesday, June 7, 2023These are feather light and don't seem like they'd provide adequate protection against the rocky terrain of New Hampshire. Not much ankle support. Great toe bed space though! The regular Lone Peak trail runners were awesome so I opted for those instead and sent these back.

5.0 out of 5 stars. LoveReviewed by Gnarlyway from Santa Fe, NM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023I love these shoes, I ordered a different pair online that were too big so I went in store to do a return/exchange and found these. I haven’t stopped wearing them for the week. We live in the desert and these are perfect for my rocky and dusty trails and so light weight that I keep up with the kids no prob. These fit me like a normal size 7.5. I saw another review for color being off which is to be expected depending on your resolution etc etc. they are a very normal color of khaki with Greg tones.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not like the pictureReviewed by Chris from Massachusetts on Monday, April 24, 2023I just purchased a pair. First I am a size 7.5-8 for shoes. I ordered 2 pairs in 8 and 8.5, and the 8.5 feels much better than the 8. Second, the fabric that covers most of the shoes is different than the one on the picture on the website, which looks like a thick, sturdy pebbled grey/blue fabric. By contrast, the shoes I received are made of a thin and plasticky material that creases when I walk in my living room making me think that it will tear at the creases when I hike. I will return both pairs at a store and see what they have on sale there.
