5.0 out of 5 stars. Wide toe box = comfortReviewed by Alexandra from Ponce, Puerto Rico on Wednesday, July 12, 2023I was thrilled when I saw these at Sierra. This is my 2nd pair of the exact same boots. They are comfortable right out of the box with no need for break-in. I also have a low cut version of the Lone Peaks and the waterproof boots, which I also purchased on Sierra. These offer additional stability but do not feel not constrictive. They also keep my feet cool, I wear them with hiker micro crew merino socks, I hike mostly in warm weather, in The Caribbean and Arizona. Lastly and most importantly, THE WIDE TOE BOX IS EVERYTHING! My toes do not get crushed while going downhill, as with other brands. I can't tell when my feet get swollen after hiking for long hours in the heat. I purchased 1/2 a size larger than my usual shoe size for sandals and road running shoes, as recommended for a backpacking trip.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Helped to fix my feetReviewed by plantarfacsrelief from CT on Tuesday, May 2, 2023I was suffering from plantar fasciitis for months and tried many shoes and inserts. I wore my daughter's Altra Tushar boots and miraculously without orthotics my feet weren't hurting. However, the Tushar are very wide looking at the forefoot. I tried these Lone Peaks and they are perfect. They look cute, not too wide- however- in Altra Paradigm sneakers I wear an 8 1/2, but these boots were huge in 8 1/2, so I sized down to 8's and they are just right. I wear an 8.5 in Brooks Ghosts. I no longer wear the Brooks, as Altras are keeping my foot pain away. One thing-I feel like the lace loops will wear out- it's been a month and many miles and all is good so far. They do have an interestingly lightweight and kind of cheap seeming construction but I just love how comfy they are.

5.0 out of 5 stars. These boots are amazing!Reviewed by Bearkat0205 from Florida on Wednesday, April 19, 2023I wore these boots out west and hiked almost 60 miles on them with NO blisters! They have a nice wide toe box and are great for bunions. Lots of cushion and so comfy! Lots of grip too.
They run a little small. I ordered a half size up and they fit great.
The only negative thing I can find is they seemed to stain easily.
