The poles snapped the second time I set it up. Then I had to deal with sharp fiberglass splinters. Thankfully, my pet was not indie.

I returned my first tent for the same reason I'm about to complain about. I wanted somewhere for my pup to hang out in the shade while on the beach. The pole snapped within minutes of putting up the tent.

I bought one of these about a month ago after seeing it in the store. I wasn't looking for it but thought it might be a great way for my pup to stay cool, be outside, and have a mini mobile kennel/den. It took a few weeks for me to get around to opening the tent, and when I did, just like several other people, a short time after getting it set up, the poles snapped and shredded near one of the connection points & the tent collapsed. We've tried multiple approaches to repair it and have just ended up with tiny splinters. I think my dog would like this tent enough that I'd even be willing to buy a replacement pole (she was stoked with checking it out initially), but after looking around the internet at a wide range of views, it looks like the poles routinely shatter. The tent is a great idea, was looking awesome for about 10 min, and then unfortunate manufacturing led to an unusable item. I'm super disappointed in the quality. We've purchased lots of Coleman items in the past and have had great experiences. Unfortunately this one doesn't live up to that standard.

We set this up in the living room to make sure all the pieces were included and for the pup to check it out. We all absolutely loved it at first, it was the perfect size and so cute. About 5 minutes after setting it up one of the poles randomly snapped on its own without anyone even touching it. I picked up the pieces that had broken off and it left TONS of tiny splinters in my fingers! I had to use my microscope (I'm a biologist) to find all the pieces in my skin they were so tiny and painful. Buyer beware! If you get one and it breaks, don't touch with bare skin!!
