The sole is lightly padded and the boot isn’t uncomfortably heavy. The color is a deeper taupe than appears on this website, more in keeping with the darker gray taupe upper and sole shown on other sites. I ordered my usual size for Dansko and they fit well with enough room for thin to mid weight socks. I know I’ll wear these a lot. You can’t beat STP prices.
