These shoes really don't qualify as boots, they are more on the order of high top sneakers. They are very comfortable with good fit. Insole is soft for all day use. The tread pattern on the sole does telegraph into the shoe as is common for light footwear. They seem well made based upon the short time I've owned. I recommend them if super heavy duty hiking isn't in the program.
