My toes fit but the width is definitely more to the narrow side and they are TIGHT. I buy men's shoes because they rarely are too narrow or tight for me, and have always purchased a 9/9.5 (US) mens. purchased a 9.5 in these and I should have sized up to a 10. I googled this brand and they said "true to size", which is a lie. These are SO uncomfortable but returning and getting a new pair in time for me to break in before a hiking trip was not feasible. I am just hoping that they break in a little more so I can actually use them for my trip. I am a little disappointed in these, but the ankle support is good.
