Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Tent!!!Reviewed by Kris10Camper from Florida on Wednesday, August 21, 2024I already had this same exact tent and I love it so much I bought a second one. Both times I’ve had this out camping I was in full downpour and this tent held its own! The only thing I recommend is in addition to a footprint put a heavy duty tarp inside on the floor (slightly larger than floor dimensions-think bathtub). The rain fly does its job but the material of the floor wicks water up. With that inside tarp you’ll stay just as dry as I did!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great TentReviewed by hansen216 from Illinois on Monday, August 5, 2024I went through two very heavy rainstorms. I was dry and comfortable the whole time. I have had the older model of this tent and received this one as a warranty claim and it's a great tent. Love the moon roof feature of it too!

5.0 out of 5 stars. perfect for iceland summerReviewed by Emmy from Illinois on Sunday, August 4, 2024Picked up this tent for a july trip to iceland. It arrived within 5 days from Sierra. Easiest set up and tear downs that took about 5 minutes. Quality overall was great. Waterproof rain cover really worked and protected side from all rain. Guy lines were included, but there weren't enough stakes to set them all up. I only needed this for two people with one on the bigger side, and this tent had more than enough space. Loved the zipper on two sides of the tent instead of the one. Would buy again!

1.0 out of 5 stars. Buyer Beware: Marmot Catalyst 2/3 PersonReviewed by Martin Espinoza from California on Sunday, August 4, 2024This tent is nice for car camping. However, I purchased a 3-person tent and they sent me a 2-person tent. I called Sierra customer service and asked if I could keep the tent and have them credit me the $20 difference toward future purposes. The nice lady on the phone said sure, but Sierra.com said no when I emailed them. They outline a nightmarish return process that I simply do not want to go through, so I told them keep the $20 and we'll part ways.
Long story short, nice product but be wary you may not get what you pay for. -
1.0 out of 5 stars. Garbage tentReviewed by Nick from California on Monday, July 29, 2024I own a marmot limelight2 so I was hoping this would be a good tent. I was really let down. The fabric was very low quality. I wouldn’t trust this tent in my backyard let alone on a trip into the wilderness. Marmots customer service wasn’t helpful at all in trying to resolve issues either.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Gorgeous Jacket - Bad Sizing!Reviewed by Moonhaw Maid from NYC & Ulster Co, NY on Tuesday, July 23, 2024This is a totally gorgeous jacket, but the sizing is wayyy off! I always take an XL (14/16) in most all clothing. But this jacket was not only tight in the shoulders, but about a good two inches too narrow around the hip/waist... I couldn't even zip it up! I would probably need a 2X in this one! Doesn't come larger that XL... What about women with curves, Marmot???
