Most Helpful 2-Star Review

2.0 out of 5 stars. Thin forefoot, cushioning faded quickly
Reviewed by Greyogi from New Mexico on Sunday, September 24, 2023
I purchased this at the beginning of the summer with hopes of a "Merrell" hiking shoe. These shoe fall vastly short of the Merrell of old. The forefoot area has no cushioning and support. Rocks can be felt through as you walk. It has little to no shock absorption and fatigue comes quickly. The heel section had a nice springy feel to start out with and faded after less than a handful of uses. The shoe now feels dead and lifeless.

The traction of these shoes are good and maintained good grip on rocks and crag.

Too bad has poor comfort qualities that make a good hiker.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
