Wonderful bag, great price...andReviewed by Global girl from Utah on Monday, February 10, 2025I gave this 5 star suitcase three stars only because it is too big to be considered a normal checked bag. Checked bags (for Delta, American & United) must not exceed 62 inches (158 cm) when you total LENGTH + WIDTH + HEIGHT.
This bag totals about 65 inches. Ouch--3 inches too big! I called Mystery Ranch and discovered that the dimensions are indeed correct--and that it was discontinued because of it's "monster" size. So, while you may get lucky with a gate agent and you might be able to squish it a bit, you absolutely do run the risk of being hit with excess baggage fees. Incidentally, Forbes Magazine said that this suitcase was one of the best of the best. If you don't plan to fly with it, it might be exactly what you want and need.
