The bait well opens into the interior of the kayak’s air bubble…so if you put a heavy enough person in the kayak (not even 400lbs more like ~350) the water through the scutter holes can get deep enough in your sitting area that it can cover the bait well and will fill your kayak with water. I’m looking for ways to fix this…scutter plugs are on my list, but I may have to epoxy the bait well shut.
