Believe it or not, the first Korkers boots were cobbled together in a small basement workshop more than 50 years ago using scrap rubber, nylon cord and carbide spikes. Shortly thereafter, the now-famous "River Cleats" were born, and this highly functional wading sole system soon became a favorite among local fishermen. Over the years, Korkers wading boots have grown to include amazing innovations like OmniTrax V2 interchangeable sole technology. In addition to trusted performance on the river, Korkers winter boots also provide the same outstanding traction on snowy and icy terrain. When you need maximum grip on the slickest surfaces, this is the footwear brand for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great tractionReviewed by Frequent Sierra buyer from Rockford on Thursday, January 18, 2024I had to buy 3 sizes before I got one that fit, but it was worth it. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, but it wasn't until I ordered a size 11 that they fit. But man are the replaceable soles worth it! I use the studded ones when I shovel my fairly steeply sloped and long driveway. They have no lost traction even on icy spots. So worth it. I got them when they were on sale for $99, and now they're down to $75, such a bargain. Warm and comfortable too, after you break them in. I went on a 3 mile hike with them to start the break in process

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these cleatsReviewed by Boisvert41 from Colorado on Saturday, January 22, 2022I have been slidding around and falling because of a lot of ice in our area. I have to take my puppy out for a walk 4 times a day. These are awesome, I no longer feel like I'm slidding nor have I fallen since putting on my boots.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Be Aware, Wraptr Is Discontinued for a ReasonReviewed by Anonymous from Washington on Thursday, February 6, 2020My darling wife saw my Korkers Devils Canyon boots that had been fished hard and often over 5 years were gooped up with Aquaseal SR to fix the delamination of the rand to the upper and told me to order a new pair of boots for Fathers day 2019. I picked up the Wraptr because I wanted to go back to standard laces to be able to tweak the fit. The Wraptr boots were nearly a pound heavier than the DC boots, but provided the ability to use "creative lacing" to tweak the fit like hiking boots over a long day of ups and downs that is just not possible with the DC Boa laces. The Wraptr boots were a stable wading platform that's very important to me being retired and fishing remote water; often alone. I often hike in with the standard Kling-On rubber sole and change to the lightweight felt soles for wading; carrying the rubber soles in my pack while I fish. If hiking less than 1/2 mile I'll use (2lb per pair) the "Triple Threat" bar cleat soles that have the best wading traction of any wading boot I've used over 40 years.
However after 21 trips in 4 months consisting of hiking in an average of 2 miles to fish remote water and covering up to 7 miles of hiking-bushwhacking-wading per trip the upper's "armor" fibers began to break down forming (what would soon be) a hole next to the big toe at the metatarsal break where the foot flexes up and down from when walking, I sent in warranty claim with photos and Korkers excellent Customer Support told me there were known problems and they replaced my boots with the newest top of the (standard lace) line Terror Ridge boots under their ONE YEAR WARRANTY.
If you are parking your car next to the water and walking-wading short distances the Wraptr might work for you for a few years. If you fish "hard"; meaning often and cover a lot of distance, they will probably not last, but for 10 years Korkers has taken very good care of me when I had problems within their ONE YEAR WARRANTY period, and even helping me with DIY repairs when out of warranty.
