Scientific Anglers was founded in 1945 by friends and fellow fishermen who introduced the first modern plastic-coated tapered fly line to the market, a revolutionary design in the fly-fishing industry. Scientific Anglers fly lines continued to break new ground with the introduction of the first contemporary floating and sinking fly lines, and Scientific Anglers fly rods cemented the brand’s focus on developing leading-edge technologies that set the industry standard. Scientific Anglers’ commitment to designing and producing the best possible equipment has defined the sport’s history and continues to shape its future, allowing beginning and expert anglers alike to make the most of every cast.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fantastic line for the moneyReviewed by Dan in TX from Texas on Monday, October 9, 2023This is a great casting line. It's the easiest casting line I have tried. I'm getting better distance with less effort. It also had almost no memory right out of the box.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great line for the priceReviewed by Brad from Dallas on Thursday, March 9, 2023So what if it doesn’t have a loop on the back. Tie a nail knot. My first textured line and I like it. It is a little louder than normal line when pulling through the guides but it’s not a big deal. People are getting pretty picky about buying discount line.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not as advertisedReviewed by Uinta Backpacker from Utah on Thursday, February 23, 2023The listing states that it comes with a loop on both ends. It does not. It also doesn’t come with all of the retail packaging. This seems like it is a 2nds item and not a brand new retail item. It’s not worth the cost the are advertising it for.
Scientific Anglers Outlet: Due to limited quantities, not all products are available in our Retail Stores.
Scientific Anglers Overstocks: inventory too high, had to be drastically reduced -- always first quality. Find out more about overstock items.
Scientific Anglers Closeouts: may be last year's model or color -- always first quality. Find out more about closeouts.
Scientific Anglers 2nds:
Cosmetic Blems or Irregulars. Minor cosmetic blemishes or slight irregularities
which do not affect the fit, performance, or longevity of the item. Label is
usually clipped or marked by the manufacturer. A small flaw means big savings.
