After designing his first backpack as a Boy Scout at the age of 14, Wayne Gregory dedicated his career to making outstanding gear, a mission that eventually led him to create Gregory Mountain Products in 1977. From the beginning, Gregory backpacks have been engineered using a combination of field research and customer feedback in order to enhance durability, fit and function. The brand has pioneered many industry firsts, such as multiple pack sizes with different frame, harness and waist belt dimensions. They also developed the first waist belt system that offered a variety of hip angles. Not surprisingly, Gregory backpacks have been praised in a wide range of publications, from Backpacker magazine to National Geographic Adventure.

What was delivered was a Gregory Stout 45L Plus Sized backpack.
While I applaud Gregory for making gear for everyone, there is a difference between the stout and the stout plus.
The plus is for waist sizes 41 inches and up, has a wider frame and has longer shoulder straps. I'm 6'0", 195 pounds and this thing swallowed me.
I'd have given the bag 5 stars had it been the correct bag - super high quality, but misleading listing.

No plastic taste, easy to clean, and dries out well. Bite piece is nice, and I love the magnetic attachment to my pack. Great size too. The low price is the reason I discovered Sierra and ended up buying more gear than planned. But not sure the savings was worth the shipping trouble I encountered or the awful customer service on this website. If you want help, it might be worth paying more elsewhere.

I use it for college, hiking, biking, and travel. For hiking and biking, I really like the internal frame, the hydration pack compatibility, and straps to adjust at the waist, chest, and top of the shoulder straps. The size works for a weekend trip if you pack light and the exterior material is very durable. For school, I wish there was a bit more space. I can cram in my laptop, a change of clothes, and a pair of running shoes, but no lunch (unless I strap shoes outside the backpack). I would buy it again at a simlar price.
