5.0 out of 5 stars. Better than expected

This is a lightweight insulated waterproof jacket that is nice enough for wearing to work for me. The insulation is not very heavy but it’s warm. I’ve been wearing it at temperatures in the 30-40s and rainy and have been very happy. The fit is loose so as it gets much colder I think I will switch to my heavier weight coat, but very happy so far in New Hampshire November weather.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Not stylish but very practical

When I first tried this I thought “nope”. It doesn't have much shape and the peach color is a bit drab so it looked frumpy. I let it hang overnight and the wrinkles smoothed out and the coat, even the color, looked better. It looks like the photo. It’s extremely lightweight but warm with a great hood, has nice cuffs and pockets, and is very comfortable. The silhouette is bell shaped but I walk a lot and I hate constricting knee length coats. It runs somewhat large so I can wear a sweater underneath. It’s not stylish but very practical. It’s Gor-tex, very lightweight, and designed for movement. I think I’ll end up wearing this coat a lot.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice, light

insulation very thin/light; not 2 way zipper; cuffs are cut out, inside facing side - unique design; the Goretex is thin; it's roomy, so you can wear over a blazer or sweater easily; the coral color is nice - fairly true to the photo. You get what you pay for and this is not worth several hundred dollars.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Weird bell cut but great quality otherwise.

The jacket had a strange exaggerated bell shape, more so than other parkas designed for women. It fits me on top but it bells out very dramatically so it kind of makes me look pregnant or pear shaped, even though I’m not. I’m 5’4 with a large bust & it fits in the chest with room to layer & it it very roomy in the lower 1/2 of the jacket. The sleeves have nice elastic cuffs inside them which sort of make the sleeve length adjust to the perfect length for my arms. It seems to be thoughtfully designed to adjust the sleeve length depending on the wearer. I got a large in caviar which is a true black, I got a different Viev jacket in black absence & that is more of a dark grey. It’s definitely lightweight, warm, & waterproof. The hood does not have a wire in the brim like the description states, but it is adjustable in the back. It has a 2-way zipper, & 2 zippered hand pockets that contain extra zippered pockets within them, & 2 zippered inside pockets too. It was originally either $850 or $1300 depending on where you look, & it’s on poshmark for $699 used, so $69 or $49 is a great deal.
