I was surprised how well my foot slid in, which speaks to the proper design of the boot. They are snug around the foot, but still allow room for my toes to wiggle. The shaft is snug against my thick thighs, but I anticipate this to ease with wear. Knocked off a star due to the shearling not being as soft and warm as other similar boots I've had.
