I like that it looks like a buckle but the strap actually uses Velcro! So much easier to slip your foot in and fold the strap over to attach the Velcro, and then you’re off and running!

I will add that they are slightly loose around the top. Not to the point where they won't stay on. I like something that fits a little more snug, but as I mentioned, it doesn't effect how the shoe wears. But, don't size up.
