Big covered buckles make these a chunky sandal. Somehow, they don't make my feel look enormous like I expected. They're a cute well made comfort sandal.

But the center section of the sole, right where your arch meets your heel, is very narrow and the sides stick up a bit so they gouge into your foot. After you walk around on these for about 5 minutes it starts to get pretty painful. If you have extremely narrow feet, you might be okay. My feet are average. Not narrow, but not wide.
