Average Rating:
4.1 out of 5 stars.
The Timberland footwear brand was officially launched in 1973, more than two decades after founder Nathan Swartz bought an interest in an established shoe company. Eight years earlier, the Swartz family had introduced injection-molding technology to the footwear industry. Today, this revolutionary manufacturing process is still being used to fuse the soles and uppers of Timberland boots without stitching, a process that allows for truly waterproof boots. Over the years, Timberland shoes and boots have continued to advance, incorporating modern features like Active Comfort Technology to provide a balance of cushioning, support and climate control. In 2008, Timberland also became the first footwear company to commercialize the use of rubber from recycled tires.

3.0 out of 5 stars. A fashion boot, not a work boot or hiking bootReviewed by Kurt from Virginia on Saturday, April 19, 2025These are nice comfortable boots to walk around in, but they are fashion statements, not work boots or hiking boots. The sole is surprisingly soft and flexible. There doesnt feel like there is any shank in it at all. You can feel the entire foot bed flex under your feet as you walk. I bought them on the assumption they were work boots, and they arent. At this price I dont really care, I will still use them as such, but they will not last long with the abuse I am about to put them through.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice waterproof shoesReviewed by Over60 from Usa on Friday, March 28, 2025I ordered a size 9.5 ( my normal size) and a size 10. They both fit but I decided to keep the 10 so my personal insoles fit better. These shoes are a bit stiff at first but broke in quickly and ate very comfortable with my own insoles. The ones that came with the shoes have no support. The shoe width is normal slightly wide.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Felt a little bit narrow, but looked wide on the footReviewed by Wisconsin from Wisconsin on Friday, January 24, 2025I was looking for a women's waterproof sneaker or low profile hiking shoe, to wear around town and also when traveling. I bought three pairs, this Timberland Lincoln Peak Low Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Women), the Asolo Made in Europe Shiver GV Gore-Tex® Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Women), and the Asolo Made in Europe Pipe GV Gore-Tex® Hiking Shoes - Waterproof, Leather (For Women).
I wear a 7.5 M for street shoe (pumps, etc) and an 8 M for boots and sports shoes (to accommodate a thicker sock). I bought this in an 8 M. The Timberland Lincoln Peak Low Hiking Shoe felt a bit stiff, a bit narrower than a Medium width, yet the appearance of the shoe looked wider than both of the Asolo's. I was hoping that this Timberland would work for me, because my heart was set on a waterproof sneaker look.
From what I can tell, there is nothing wrong with the Timberland Lincoln Peak itself; it's just that for me, the fit did not work well. The Asolo GV Goretex (red and grey) is what provided me the best fit and that's the pair I kept.
