For more than fifty years, Vasque boots have been helping hikers, backpackers, mountaineers and trail runners get off the beaten path and out into the wilderness. When company founder William D. Sweasy traveled to Europe in the 1960s and saw how recreational hiking was sweeping the continent, he knew it wouldn’t be long before the craze reached American soil. In the years since Sweasy created the Vasque footwear company, Vasque hiking boots and mountaineering boots have become synonymous with outdoor exploration. Whether your destination is a local trail or a craggy alpine summit, Vasque shoes and boots provide the support, all-terrain traction and top-quality construction that lasts for many miles of adventure. Ready to start exploring?

3.0 out of 5 stars. Too narrowReviewed by Stacy from Georgia on Thursday, March 27, 2025Nice shoe excellent quality, and light weight but it's extremely narrow so I'll have to return it. I could hardly get my foot into the shoe.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love them!Reviewed by Ranch Mama from Oklahoma on Sunday, February 23, 2025True to size. I usually stick with altras but I’ve had Vasque hiking boots in the past and was pleased with them so took a chance. Love these. They’re now in my shoe rotation for the week. Very airy and light.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice! But Wide isn’t wide enoughReviewed by Keltic Kim from Northern Michigan on Thursday, February 20, 2025These boots appear to be well made, and came with two sets of laces - teal and taupe - nice!
Sadly I have to return them, as the Wide width feels more like Medium width, even with lighter hiking socks on. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Fantastic bootsReviewed by EstyP72 from Colorado on Tuesday, January 14, 2025I recently moved to Northern Colorado from the Phoenix area, so I needed a great pair of hiking boots. I ordered 2 similar pairs online and I kept these. I can wear between a 9 and 10 in shoes, generally find European size 40 fits best. I ordered these in a 9 and they’re perfect. Right out of the box, I did a 2.5 mile hike/walk with my dog. I also shoveled the driveway in them. My feet were toasty warm and comfy. The traction is amazing and they look good too. I love the way they lace up too. It’s a million little things that made me fall in love with these boots. It’s my first purchase of Vasque anything but it absolutely won’t be my last. I highly recommend these if you need some warm boots.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight with Great Support & TractionReviewed by CynthiaC from Colorado on Monday, December 9, 2024Have used for numerous snow hikes. Feet have stayed warm and dry. Typically wear 7.5 or 8. Ordered the 7.5 and fit is great even with thick socks. These are highly rated among those who test run boots. Very happy with these!

4.0 out of 5 stars. very comfortable but hard to put onReviewed by Phuzzy from Japan on Friday, December 6, 2024The tongue system installed requires that you get creative with inserting your foot. Definitely takes time over any other shoe operation. Once on your feet, very very comfortable and absorbing of all impacts. Sole is good except on wet metal grates or wet outdoor masonry tile. Mud and roots are fine traction wise. I'll say it again, very comfortable shoe! Well ventilated too.

4.0 out of 5 stars. If it fits it’s a hitReviewed by Deks from NY, NY on Friday, November 22, 2024The collar is not lined or foam-filled but still offers good support if laced high up. Admirable cushion offers comfortable walking different surfaces, sole grips decently on ascent. Unfortunately after 4 days of 3-4 miles of leisurely walks, my right toe became sore. Not enough room in the toe box I supposed since a switch to a different pair, soreness dissipated. It’s still a qood quality comfortable shoe, just didn’t work for me.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Love to love, but…Reviewed by Deks from NY, NY on Friday, November 22, 2024I have the mid style. Great cushion, quite comfortable for walking any type of road or trail. Good support likewise. Until about 4 days of 3-4 miles leisurely walk, my right little toe started becoming sore. The toe box could have been a bit roomier. Switched to a different pair without further soreness.
