Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect intro hiking shoeReviewed by Allie from Denver on Thursday, July 11, 2024My 2.5yr old loves these shoes, asks to wear them anytime we're going on walks. The toe space is wide, perfect for their little feet.

1.0 out of 5 stars. SolelessReviewed by Susan from MN on Wednesday, July 10, 2024The soles of these shoes separated from the leather with less that one week of wear. Do not buy if you plan to hike in the wilderness because your shoe will not make it through.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Thin solesReviewed by Connie from Sierra Vista, AZ on Tuesday, July 2, 2024These are perhaps the cheapest-made Keen sandals I have purchased. I live in southern Arizona and we have lots of things that poke us, both flora and fauna. I can't even walk my desert landscape yard and not have a thorn of some sort poke through the sole and into my foot. I use these for around the house or when I'm shopping, but otherwise I don't trust these shoes to poke me again.
Otherwise the shoe itself is comfy. I just don't like the soles -
4.0 out of 5 stars. They’re KeensReviewed by jeanbean from CA on Saturday, June 29, 2024I decided to keep this purchase, even though I could size 1/2 down (but not available @Sierra). It’s a good price. Easy to get on and off, but I need to wear medium/thick socks with them for a comfortable fit. Very attractive color; I think they make your feet look big, but they’re Keens! I love the soles and they do provide good traction. ‘Am thinking of wearing them to Europe for an Autumn trip.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Not the best KeensReviewed by Janno from Colorado on Tuesday, June 25, 2024I wear Keen hiking shoes for gardening and walking the dogs. I love the large toe box, sturdy sole and overall fit of Keens. However, these don't fit like other Keen shoes I've had. The flex top is very odd and didn't really flex until I'd worn them a month. It was actually very uncomfortable, and I considered returning them. The laces don't stay tied and the tongue moves around too much. I'm constantly adjusting them. I've purchased a different style of Keen's to replace these at the end of the summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Keen Ridge Flex Mid Hiking BootsReviewed by Hiker Fred from New York on Monday, June 17, 2024My old Asolo hiking boots were deteriorating, so I searched Sierra and decided on these Keens. What a great pair of hiking boots, much more comfortable than my Asolos and a great price. The sizing guide provided by Sierra worked out perfectly as the size was exactly what I needed.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Short break-in required, unlike other KeensReviewed by Susurrus from North Dakota on Sunday, June 16, 2024Not sure if it was unique to my boots, but these required a break-in. The flaps on the side of the tongue really rubbed on the tops of my feet until they established a good crease and stayed folded flat. Otherwise 5-star boots. They are waterproof for the first year of use, they are wide enough that my feet aren't breaking the seal of the boot to the sole, and the flex has held up well so far (rubber is still soft, pliable and doesn't have any holes). Can't beat them for the discount price on STP!

1.0 out of 5 stars. Poor QualityReviewed by Dacker Backpacker from NY Adirondacks on Thursday, May 23, 2024on the first wear, the outer strap at the little toe rubbed and chafed my skin to a blister. Cut away the strap to eliminate the chafing, then the rear retention strap outer fabric frayed and disconnected from the stitching. I expected that Keen was a decent brand, but these sandals are a disappointment. I'll go back to Teva

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Shoe to Hike InReviewed by Intelpimp The Hiker from Virginia on Monday, May 20, 2024This shoe/boot was bought because I wanted to try out Keens answer to hiking shoes/boots. Unlike the heavier hiking boots they make this mid hiking boot performs like mid shoes. Comfy enough to hit the trails and weather proof enough to not need the heavier boots. This shoe is a great answer to the summers hikes which will include wet days keeping your feet dry and comfy. Took me a week to break them in while hitting 4 miles daily, but no need swapping out my insoles cause this shoe broke well with my wide feet. Wide enough in the toe area helps when your feet swell up on those long complicated hikes. I recommend these thoroughly and at a price you cant beat!
