The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Run largeReviewed by TucsonBlonde from Tucson, AZ on Monday, May 12, 2025To be fair, I cannot review this boot on anything but size. I wear an 8 1/2 in hiking boots and these were huge! I don't think I could have worn an 8. This review is just to give you a heads up on sizing. Try them on somewhere before you order.

4.0 out of 5 stars. order upReviewed by Eastern Sierra Hiker from Sierra Nevada on Saturday, May 10, 2025I ordered my regular size and they are really snug in the toes, even with thin socks. Going to order a larger size and see if that works.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable BootsReviewed by Old Tom from Colorado on Wednesday, May 7, 2025Felt a little snug when I first put them on but became very comfortable in a few minutes. We had a late season snow and these boots kept my feet dry, sole had good grip in the wet snow. I was surprised at how light they feel, almost running shoe light.
