The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Hard to Run InReviewed by Angry Butterfly from California on Tuesday, July 9, 2024I had the older version of these for dog walking shoes and boy do I HATE the new ones. I threw out the old ones because I’d worn all the way through the sole, but I wish I had kept them for comparison because of how awful these are. Merrell apparently decided to join in on the stupid dangerous trend where they put a bunch of extra foam on the back of the heel. I noticed that my 70 something dad had shoes with that stupid feature and it was making it hard for him to go down stairs, what I didn’t expect is for them to throw off the balance of my 40- something, fixie riding, surfing, skateboarding, self! I walked less than a mile in them, because FORGET trying to run in them, and got pain in my knee that immediately stopped when I took them off! It’s easier to balance in 3 inch platforms! WHICH I ALSO WEAR. Utter failure.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Light, comfy, need to be waterproofedReviewed by AdkSarah from Adirondacks on Sunday, June 23, 2024I have had them a few months. I like them enough. The only thing is when I walk through wet grass after a rain my feet/socks get really damp in a way my previous Merrell trail runners didn’t (they don’t make them anymore which is why I tried these) I still keep an eye out for my previous ones but these are fine for now.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Disappointingly Short LifespanReviewed by Hillary from IN on Tuesday, June 18, 2024I'm pretty frustrated about these sandals. I work at a school, so I expect to be on my feet a lot inside and outside. I bought these as a faithful Merrell customer. At first, they were great-comfy, supportive, cute. It didn't take long before my arches no longer felt supported, and the straps were visibly wearing on the sides. I hadn't done anything crazy- one weekend camping trip and 1.5 months working with kids, and now both soles have a huge crack going across the balls of my feet. I wore a pair of chaos for 5+ years before the sole started to wear and separate. I spend a lot of time searching for and investing in good quality shoes that will last a long time. I can't afford to replace shoes like this. These might seem like a good price, but you get what you pay for.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Runs small in sizeReviewed by Shoelord from IN on Tuesday, June 11, 2024Most of my shoes are Merrell. These shoes are a half size smaller than all of my other Merrills. Otherwise, the shoes seem fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice quality shoeReviewed by KC from Nevada on Monday, June 10, 2024I have always liked Merrills because they fit my wide feet so well. These shoes fit beautifiully from the first time I put them on. There is plenty of support. I have worked a few miles two days in a row in these shoes and they are already a favorite. I came back to purchse another pair but they are sold out in my size.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very comfortable!Reviewed by Betty from New Hampshire on Saturday, June 8, 2024These are very nice looking better than pictures, and they are super comfortable. Good arch support and very well made as expected from Merrell. I can't find one bad thing to say about them. The cushioning is also very good. They are super soft too! The straps are adjustable in several places, I have wide feet, and they fit perfectly true to size, you won't be disappointed, they can be dressed up or down for just about any occasion!

1.0 out of 5 stars. Issues with dye bleeding.Reviewed by Deb from MA on Friday, June 7, 2024Well made and I liked it at first. When it got dirty during activity, I soak this in the water to wash it (no soap, just water) and then I saw the purple dyes leaking and changing the color of the water.
I suspect if white sock was worn, it would have dyed purple - but I wore black socks so I can't tell.
I am planning to throw away my pair and the sock. If you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend this.
This is a very good shoes otherwise and It's possible that I just had a bad pair. Consider soak in water before you take to activity to double check. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. The most comfy shoeReviewed by Meerjungfrau from Washington state on Friday, May 31, 2024These look so awesome and are probably the most comfortable shoe I own. They are perfect for walking and standing all day at work. They breathe really well and my feet don’t hurt.
